Is this the same as a college bowl pool?
No. CFP is an advancing-team bracket. Bowl confidence uses a list of games with confidence points assigned to the winners you choose. NLSP has separate contests for these formats.
Create a College Football Playoff bracket pool. Predict game winners through the championship and compare seed and winning-margin bonus options.
First 5 member entries free per contest, then $1 per additional member who submits picks. Paid by the commissioner.
The format
Select the teams you expect to advance through the College Football Playoff. Follow the matchups shown in the contest and choose your national champion before picks close.
At a glance
A CFP bracket follows the teams advancing through the playoff. A bowl confidence pool asks you to assign confidence points to individual game winners. Select the event that matches what your group wants to play.
Correct winners earn the points assigned to each round. If seed scoring is enabled, the bonus uses the selected winner’s seed plus the round number, or the seed multiplied by the round number. A league can also play without that bonus.
The optional win-margin bonus adds a prediction about how close each game will be. Use the ranges on the pick sheet and check the points awarded for getting one right.
When enabled, enter the combined score you expect in the national championship game. The closest prediction to the actual total is used to break a scoring tie.
The contest’s bracket and schedule are the reference for which games are included and when picks close. Share that deadline with members, including the time zone.
