Follow a team of four players

Choose four players from the tournament’s selection groups. Your picks earn points as they win matches, with separate contests for men’s and women’s singles.

  • Pick from the eligible players on the tournament’s pick sheet.
  • Each selected player can earn points in successive rounds.
  • Optional bonuses add ranking and set-count scoring.

Player selections and scoring

Choose one player from each selection group shown on the pick sheet, for a team of four. You keep those selections through the tournament; you do not fill out a complete match-by-match bracket.

Each match won by a selected player earns that round’s base points. Their points accumulate as they advance. A loss earns no points, and that player’s tournament total stops growing.

Level 1 base points

The commissioner can adjust the base points awarded for a win in each round. These example settings show how one player’s score builds from the first round to the title, before bonuses. Your league’s scoring page shows the values in use.

Round wonPointsPlayer total
First round1212
Second round1224
Third round1236
Fourth round1248
Quarterfinal3280
Semifinal24104
Final48152

Add up your four players

Using these settings, a champion earns 152 base points, a player who loses in a semifinal earns 80, a player who loses in the fourth round earns 36, and a player who loses in the second round earns 12. That entry totals 152 + 80 + 36 + 12 = 280 base points. Only one player can win the title; selected players can also meet in the draw, ending one player’s run.

Optional ranking bonus

With the ranking bonus enabled, each selected player’s win earns extra points based on the World Rank recorded on the pick sheet. The bonus is added for every win, with larger awards for players outside the top ranking groups.

Recorded World RankBonus per win
1 to 41 point
5 to 102 points
11 to 323 points

Ranking bonuses across the tournament

For the 280-point entry above, suppose the champion is ranked 3, the semifinalist 8, the fourth-round player 20, and the second-round player 50. Their 7, 5, 3 and 1 wins earn (7 × 1) + (5 × 2) + (3 × 3) + (1 × 4) = 30 ranking bonus points. The entry has 310 points before any set-count bonus. Losing matches earn no ranking bonus.

Optional set-count bonus

With the set-count bonus enabled, a selected player’s completed match win earns one bonus point for every set played in that match. Members do not predict the set count. These examples are for normally completed matches.

Match resultSet-count bonus
Men’s win, 3 sets to 03 points
Men’s win, 3 sets to 14 points
Men’s win, 3 sets to 25 points
Women’s win, 2 sets to 02 points
Women’s win, 2 sets to 13 points

One win with both bonuses

Under the example round settings, a player ranked 20 who wins a men’s third-round match 3 sets to 1 earns 12 base points + 3 ranking bonus points + 4 set-count bonus points = 19 points from that match. If your selected player loses, that match adds no base points or either bonus.

Championship tiebreaker

When enabled, predict the total games played in the championship match for the selected men’s or women’s tournament.

Games in the final

A women’s final with set scores of 6 to 4 and 6 to 3 contains 10 + 9 = 19 games. The prediction is for the total games across the final.

One Grand Slam or several

Create a pool for one available Grand Slam tournament, or add other available contests to the same league. Men’s and women’s singles contests have their own entries and scoring.
