Does an F1 pool use a laps-led prediction?
The F1 race-pack rules use actual combined race time, with the lower time winning a tie. NASCAR uses a different tiebreaker based on laps led.
Run a Formula 1 pool with four-driver teams across a race pack. Compare finish-position scoring, starting-position bonuses, and the race-time tiebreaker.
First 5 member entries free per contest, then $1 per additional member who submits picks. Paid by the commissioner.
The format
Select four drivers from the groups on the pick sheet. An F1 race pack covers four races, giving your group several results to follow with the same contest.
At a glance
The F1 pick sheet separates driver choices into groups labelled Top 3, Top 6, Top 10, and General. Use the field displayed for your event to complete the four selections.
Check which races are included before inviting the group. A race pack is a selected set of races, not an entry for the entire Formula 1 season.
The base schedule starts at 27 points for first place and decreases by two points per position through ninth, then by one point per position. Twentieth place and worse earn zero.
This is NLSP’s pool scoring. Read the league’s scoring display when comparing driver choices.
If enabled, the starting-position bonus uses the average starting position of your four drivers for each race. Another optional bonus rewards Top 2 or Top 5 finishes. Check the configured values in your league.
The tiebreaker combines your selected drivers’ race times across the pack. The lower combined time wins the tie. Unlike the bracket pools’ score predictions, this value comes from the race results.
