Are the race packs and NASCAR playoff pool scored the same way?
No. Race packs use a finish-position schedule for each race. The playoff contest uses its own grouped rounds and relative finish positions. Check the scoring on the selected event.
Create a NASCAR pool with four-driver teams. Compare race packs and the playoff contest, including finish-position scoring and optional bonuses.
First 5 member entries free per contest, then $1 per additional member who submits picks. Paid by the commissioner.
The format
Each member selects four drivers from the contest field. Race packs group races into one contest; the NASCAR playoff contest has its own round structure and scoring.
At a glance
The race-pack base schedule awards 28 points for first, 25 for second, and 22 for third, then one point less for each place through 24th. A driver finishing 25th or worse, or not racing, earns zero for that race.
Check the race list and dates in your event. Different packs cover different parts of the schedule.
The playoff contest groups results into three sets of three races, followed by the championship race. Its base scoring uses the drivers’ relative finish positions within the playoff field.
That scoring differs from the ordinary race packs. Choose the contest first and read its scoring rather than carrying the race-pack points into the playoff pool.
Your league can include NASCAR bonus points and a Top 5 / Top 10 finish bonus. Top 5 earns twice the configured Top 10 bonus. These options are separate from base finish-position points.
The laps-led tiebreaker uses the actual combined laps led by your selected drivers, with the higher total winning the tie. It is calculated from results rather than a score prediction you need to guess.
